The Android™-powered televisions, part of HCI’s RoomMate family of hospital-grade TVs, runs on the Android™ operating system. Healthcare facilities can download Android™ apps for patients and visitors to use to provide education, entertainment and information. The televisions also feature built-in WiFi and a whiteboard application designed to share messages with patients on their in-room television. Other features include: firmware updates via network, MediaCare integration, USB clone, and universal pillow speaker design.
